Boarder of the Week: River!
Drumroll please…….The Boarder of the Week honor goes to River!
River is a 12 year old yellow lab that has been vacationing with us for many years. She is such a sweetie but always has the saddest face(which is our biggest weakness here).
River is a great dog and it is always our pleasure to have her stay with us. We hope we see you again soon River!
Adoption Event THIS Saturday!
Come find your new Valentine at Pampered Pets Day Camp Adoption Event, Saturday, February 16th from 11am- 3pm!
Pampered Pets is donating its Day Camp space to area shelters every 3rd Saturday of each month to help shelter dogs and cats finding loving homes. Our first official event starts with the Charlottesville/Albemarle SPCA!
Meet the Day Camp Director and Assistant Director who will be selling yummy (human!) treats to raise money for the SPCA.
Our Director is a certified CPDT-KA dog trainer and will be available to adopters who have questions about dog behavior or training.
Sammy Snacks will be providing free yummy sample packs of their all natural treats and dog food! You can grab some to take home to your four-legged buddy or perhaps…pick up a sample for your new found love that could be waiting for you at the event.
Please help spread the word so some great kitties and pups can find homes this Valentines! ♥
National Pet Dental Month!
Did you know that February is National Pet Dental Health Month?
Regular brushing sessions with your dog can promote good dental health and help prevent dental plaque, tarter, and periodontal disease… In honor of National Pet Dental Health Month we are offering dentals at 50% off all month with your dogs groom.
Don’t forget to pick up a toothbrush to take home for use in between grooming sessions.(Please keep in mind that human toothpaste can be harmful to dogs) If you are unable to brush you can now get dental wipes. They are soft moist sheets that are soaked in a mild safe solution that help to reduce tooth and gum disease by removing accumulated plaque and mild tarter from your pets teeth. Your pet will be proud to show their pearly whites.
‘Have a Heart for Chained Dogs’ Week!
This week is ‘Have a Heart for Chained Dogs’ Week, and we are taking donations to benefit HOWS and so many of the local dogs that live outside without shelter. HOWS is a community project that builds shelters for outdoor dogs to keep them protected and dry from the weather..
Stop by Pampered Pets and make a donation to the HOWS Project (Houses of Wood and Straw) and get your name entered in a drawing for a FULL FREE GROOM at Pampered Pets.
So many dogs in our community are battling the cold and rain. Just a few dollars could go so far in helping these animals to stay warm and dry. Your contribution goes a long way towards providing shelter for many dogs. We will be matching whatever donations we receive.

These two very special Beagles who love spending time with their extended family here at Pampered Pets!
Meet Cubby (on the left) is 8 years old and her brother Wrigley (right) is 10. There is never a shortage of love when these two are around and we can’t wait to have them come back for their next visit!
